We are excited to announce that Chris Demere has joined our Aveyron team as a full-time maintenance staff!

He joins us with experience from Hutchinson Wholesale NAPA, Wurth USA, and most recently, Larson Builders in Hutchinson.

In his spare time, Chris enjoys the outdoors and spending time with his family. He is very active with his children’s activities. He is an assistant Cubmaster and den leader for his sons’ Cub Scout pack. Chris and his family reside in Hutchinson.

Please join us in welcoming Krystal Miller as she joins Aveyron as the new Human Resource Manager!  Krystal joins us with experience from West Central Industries, Inc. and most recently Regional Eye Center.  Krystal resides in Glencoe, Minnesota.  In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, baking and spending time with her family.  Welcome and Congratulations, Krystal!

We are happy to announce Bruce Muecke’s promotion to Program Coordinator at our home on McDonald Drive!  Upon return to Minnesota, Bruce was a Resident Counselor at Alan, McDonald and South Jorgenson.  Bruce worked for Aveyron from February 2002 until February 2015, as a Resident Counselor at several of our homes.  He then moved to Milton, PA, where he worked at a Rehabilitation Hospital and an Intensive Care Facility.  In his spare time, Bruce enjoys riding his motorcycle, cooking old family recipes and fishing.  Congratulations Bruce!  Welcome back to Minnesota and thanks for choosing Aveyron!

Aveyron would like to say THANKS to all of our Direct Support Staff (DSP) for the job they do caring for individuals that need support with their every day living skills.   Our DSP staff are often over worked and certainly under paid for the tremendous responsibility that they have in caring for others.  DSP staff work weekends and holidays.  They will put in extra long hours because they either volunteered to pick up an extra shift or got stuck due to an unavailable replacement.  Most choose to stay in this field because they know that what they do is important.  Our staff truly make a difference in the lives of those that need support!

Direct Support Professional’s Week is September 9-15.  To show appreciation to our amazing staff,  we’ll be giving away T-shirts and prizes throughout the week!  Because our ability to raise wages is tied to legislative action, we are asking for your support in contacting our elected officials, letting them know that their legislative support is critical, especially during a time when our entire industry is affected by a staffing shortage.   If you would like to support our staff, you can make a monetary donation through GiveMN.org, or by going to “Supporting Aveyron” found on the “About Us” tab on this website, or by contacting Aveyron’s Executive Director, Kathy Kalenberg at our main office.
