Aveyron would like to say THANKS to all of our Direct Support Staff (DSP) for the job they do caring for individuals that need support with their every day living skills. Our DSP staff are often over worked and certainly under paid for the tremendous responsibility that they have in caring for others. DSP staff work weekends and holidays. They will put in extra long hours because they either volunteered to pick up an extra shift or got stuck due to an unavailable replacement. Most choose to stay in this field because they know that what they do is important. Our staff truly make a difference in the lives of those that need support!
Direct Support Professional’s Week is September 9-15. To show appreciation to our amazing staff, we’ll be giving away T-shirts and prizes throughout the week! Because our ability to raise wages is tied to legislative action, we are asking for your support in contacting our elected officials, letting them know that their legislative support is critical, especially during a time when our entire industry is affected by a staffing shortage.
