Celebrating Holiday Cheer and Community at Aveyron Homes

Dear Friends of Aveyron Homes,

The holiday season is here, and it reminds us of the importance of time spent with loved ones in a warm, joyful home—exactly what we strive to provide for our clients every day.

Magical Moments in Hutchinson

Becky had a truly magical day at Flank’s in the Days Inn, Hutchinson, meeting both Santa and the Grinch, and enjoying a festive horse-drawn sleigh ride!

At home, Jeff, Don, and Sam came together to decorate for the holidays, exchanging thoughtful gifts and creating a space filled with festive cheer. Everett also added a personal touch to his space with a beautifully decorated miniature tree from Hutchinson’s Adult Training and Habilitation Center (ATHC).

As we celebrate these special moments within our community, we wish you all a holiday season filled with happiness, laughter, and cherished time with loved ones.

Aveyron is proud of our staff and clients who made their voices heard on Election Day!

Huge thanks to everyone who braved the chilly November weather to cast their vote, and to those who supported our clients in participating. Together, we’re empowering our community and shaping a brighter future. Here’s to each of you for making a difference! 💙

Joyful Memories and Celebrations at Aveyron Homes

🎉 Halloween was a blast at Aveyron Homes! Even with early snow, our clients got into the spooky spirit and made amazing memories! Everett’s costume was a real “scream”, Dana brought smiles as a festive pumpkin, Katie Jo rocked it as a singer, and Kris went all out as a barmaid for trick-or-treating fun at Hutchinson Mall. Paula spread the Halloween cheer, handing out candy to brave trick-or-treaters who faced the snowy weather. After a night of treats, the crew settled in with a cozy pizza party! 🍕

And there’s more to celebrate! The gals threw a wonderful party for Paula’s birthday on Sunday, complete with joy, laughter, and plenty of birthday fun! 🎂

Moments like these are at the heart of what we do. At Aveyron, we’re not just about providing a roof over our clients’ heads. Our goal is to foster a warm, supportive environment that feels like family, where people celebrate together and feel connected to the those around them.

Seeing our clients making memories and forming lifelong friendships shows that at Aveyron, we’re not just providing a house – we’re creating a home. 🧡

Election Day: Find your Candidate and Vote Tomorrow! 📢💥

General Election Day is fast approaching on November 5, 2024!

This is a critical time to make your voice heard, and it’s important to know which candidate aligns with your values. Take an in-depth survey at iSideWith to find out which Presidential candidate most closely represents your views on key issues!

We encourage both staff and clients to actively participate in this election. Voting is an opportunity to help shape the future of our country, and it’s a chance to stand up for issues that matter to you and our community. Whether it’s through early voting, absentee ballots, or visiting the polls on Election Day, let’s all make an effort to cast our votes!

Fall Fun and Festivities with Aveyron Clients!

Aveyron clients Jeff and Don recently had an amazing time at the Pumpkin Festival at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum! They explored a wide variety of pumpkins in all shapes, sizes, and colors, popping up around the beautiful gardens and visited the Scarecrows in the Garden display. It was a perfect day to take in the festive fall atmosphere! 🍂

Meanwhile, Kris, Katie Jo, and Paula had an unforgettable experience at the Wright County All-Breed AKC Dog Show! They not only got to witness the impressive competition but also had the special opportunity to meet some of the adorable furry contestants up close! From wagging tails to fun tricks, it was a day filled with lots of fun for everyone! 🐶💕

Over at McDonald, the Sunday Funday tradition continues! Jeff, Ana, Joan, Sam, Joanne, and Don enjoyed a day of outdoor activities, soaking up the last beautiful days of autumn. To top it all off, they all enjoyed some delicious root beer floats for dessert, making it a perfect end to a beautiful day with great company!

Celebrating National Unity Day!

Did you know that October 15 was National Unity Day?

It’s a day focused on promoting inclusion and reducing bullying. This is especially significant for Aveyron clients, as it raises awareness and support for minority groups.

To participate in Unity Day, we challenged Aveyron staff and clients to get creative with the color orange! From decorating cookies, dressing up, carving pumpkins, and more, our team joined in this wonderful opportunity to promote unity and respect! Photos include clients Dana, Katie Jo, Kris, and Paula making cookies, carving pumpkins, and collecting leaves, Peter carving pumpkins, and orange-colored decorations put up in our client’s homes!
