Aveyron Staff Attends ARRM Day at the Capitol!

ARRM Day at the Capitol, also known as Disability Services Day, was held on Tuesday, March 12th.  This is an annual event where direct care staff, managers, family members and people who receive home and community-based services, rally together at the Minnesota State Capitol to make their voices heard.  Aveyron staff attended the rally and were able to meet briefly (and pose for a picture) with Representative Dean Urdahl.  Our industry is suffering from a staffing shortage, and the staff that we do have are over-worked and underpaid.  You can help, by reaching out to our legislators and asking for their support.  We are asking for a 2% cost of living adjustment!  You can find out who your representatives are by going to www.gis.leg.mn/OpenLayers/districts/.   The more people that participate, the greater the chances our voices will be heard!
